Balanced oxidizer

It's been 4 months now and no weight loss. I do see changes but not huge ones. I see that I'm more toned but it sucks that all that toned muscle is still buried under a significant layer of fat. The same layer of fat I've been trying to get rid of for the past 5 years!! I realize that I am not obese so the pounds are not going to fall off as quickly as they do off the contestants of The Biggest Loser, but still 4 months and not even a pound loss? That is suspicious not to mention frustrating. I've been working my tail off for months and to see no physical improvements is maddening!

It's time for a recon of what I've been doing versus what I should be doing. And even though I think I've been doing right this whole time, I'm keeping an open mind. After-all if I refuse to see a problem because I think I'm right, I will only be hurting myself in the long run. So I've picked up Jillian Michael's book Making the Cut, once again (read it in 2008 but never followed it). I need a revival, a revelation AND a revaluation. So I took her test and according to my results I am a balanced oxidizer. The ideal macro-nutrient ratio for me as determined by my oxidation status is 40% carbohydrates, 30% fats and 30% protein; 40/30/30 (who knew?). MFP had me on 55% carbohydrates, 30% fats and 15% protein, no wonder I haven't lost any weight!! That is if her theory is right and if I really am a balanced oxidizer.

What have I got to lose? Heck, I'm going to master the recipes and the menu in the next few days so I can give this a try in January (maybe sooner) and see what happens. I'm so tired of not losing after all my hard work. Also based on these new macro-nutrient ratios I manually changed my MFP goals after which I then backtracked my food diary entries and out of the 120 days that I've been committed to better health I've gone over on my daily recommendation of carbohydrates 80 times. Holy shit! That's bad news! If this oxidizing thing really works then in the next few weeks my body is in for a rude awakening!
