Still haven't done the measurements... I suppose Saturday is as good a day as any. I'll have to weigh myself for my progress report anyway. Burn circuit 3 kicked my bottom today as all the workouts have been doing all week. I even outdid myself and increased the weights on the lower body exercises. OMG! The lunge with the calf raise is the DEVIL! The devil's child? The sumo-squats with the calf raise!! I thought I was gonna topple over, Mike (the guy on the video) almost did, he was lifting 50 LBS!!
I'm doing better with food, now that I've made myself conscious of my eating habits (by posting about it daily, lol). Today I thought I'd share a favorite smoothie recipe of mine. I make it every other day, my strength training days, so I had one today. Anyway here goes:
Oatmeal Banana Butter Smoothie (don't ask)
1 cup 2% milk (low-fat if you like)
1 tbsp oatmeal (dry not cooked)
1 tbsp almond butter (peanut butter if you're not allergic to peanuts as I am)
1/2 small banana (or whole I suggest half so it won't be too bananary)
1/2 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder ( a whole scoop if you so desire, I don't)
Throw all the above ingredients into the blender, add ice (I don't use ice in my smoothies because my fruits (in this case the banana) are always frozen) and presto! You get this:
Doesn't it look so yummy? Well it is. If you don't care about making it as healthy as it is you can add a half a scoop of vanilla ice cream to it ;) D-lish!
