Here I am, at home, trying to actually get some work done, and every few minutes one of the kittens jumps up to plop themselves on my chest right between me and my laptop. I get a head under my chin and a loud purr and I am incapable of pushing them off to continue my work. I am at the mercy of my cat until he or she decides they've had enough ( Read more... )

Cat dominance plays are interesting to watch. Whereas originally, Fiona was the dominant of the twins, Finnegan has recently taken over that place. He was the runt of the litter but he's grown fast and filled out and is now the same size as his sister. He's also much bolder. Ok, make that 4 times Fiona has fallen in the bathtub full of water. Personally, I think she does it on purpose. No cat can possibly be *that* clumsy.

In other news, I really need to come up with a name for the collective entity that is Finnegan-and-Fiona other than "the kittens" which doesn't really fit them any more. They've gotten *so* big. Fiona fell in the bathwater again. This is the third time, you'd think she'd learn. Kittens do not find mini marshmallows appetising. They do, however, find them much fun to play with and will, given the opportunity, remove them from the bag and spread them all over the apartment.

I am wallowing in kitteny goodness. I have never had a *young* kitten before. Even Ciara was 4 months when I got her. Fiona is only 8 weeks and she's the very essence of cuteness.
