Sometimes people of whom you have very high expectations go and exceed even those high expectations. I'll try to keep my expectations low in the future, but it will be hard when you have done just the right thing tonight, done it better than I even could have imagined it. Thank you, my much loved sweet. Yes, I'm laughing and crying still.

I don't even know what to make of this, but someone is surely going to make something of it for me, so I lay (almost) all of it out for public consumption. I leave off jo_ellen's initial post which she chose to delete.

Not gone permanently, just had other things to worry about for a while. Like my grandfather dying, which was not sad - I got to spend time with him in his last few days, because he was hospiced at my uncle's house in the neighboring town. Also, naturally, job hunting, which is going okay.

The saga of unemployment and loans continues. When I got everything put into deferment in February (having begun the process in *June*, mind you), I neglected to notice that the deferment period was backdated and HAD ALREADY EXPIRED.
