The building I bought on Main Street, my office building, was built in 1836 and apparently one of the first people to use it was an abolitionist member of the Free Soil Society, an insurance agent/fiduciary/financial trustee named "Billy Elliot". Can I just tell you how much I hate being a landlord? Almost as much as I hate cats.

Any ideas how to handle fleas in one apartment of a three unit building?

One of the things that I do that is fairly weird is I put cash away for specific purposes. It's the old-fashioned "envelope method", and it works for me. So it isn't abnormal for me to have a $50 or $100 bill that is designated for "entertainment" or "vacation" or whatever.
