I went to a seminar yesterday on how to use my time better.
D'oh. I feel like such a fool.
It reminded me of how you run a fraud; first you give an expensive seminar on a stupid subject, to pre-qualify the marks. (Anyone willing to pay a lot of money to attend a seminar on a stupid subject is a potential mark.)
I demonstrated by attending this seminar that I was bad at time management (though I'm not, really, I was multi-tasking while it ran and I only entered it because I had a last minute cancellation.) The seminar turned out to be a bad use of time, and a giant commercial for someone who sells management services to people who are so bad at management that they would attend that seminar.
Uggh.
I really am trying to pick up some more manager/supervisor skills, though. I think that's where I'll spend my personal development budget this fall. That, and the vestigal parts of my CFP credentialing.
My "to do" list is growing while I blog. Must. Get. Better. Time. Management. Skills.
