Based on this recipe from King Arthur's Flour.

1 cup rolled oats
3/4 wholemeal flour
1/2 cup plain flour
1/4 sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 1/2 cup berries or apples/cherries/peaches/etc chopped fine.
1 cup milk
1/4 olive oil
2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 500F/260C.  Lightly oil a 12-hole muffin tin.

Missing Australia today. Yesterday started off humid and cooler, with an astringent whiff in the air. Pine, not gum, but it reminded me, as did something about the tea I made this morning - hot water on the metal of the pot, maybe, since I was using teabags (Australian afternoon tea, fittingly - a gift from my SIL) instead of leaf tea in a basket.
