Down here* there are a few sure indications of spring.  Two of the most obvious are Dogwoods and Azaleas.

Dogwoods may show up a bit earlier than the Azaleas.  How much earlier depends on the year/weather.  If the leaves on the other trees have not yet emerged, you can see these islands of white in the woods.  A week or so later, and the newly ( Read more... )
