The Couch Monster That Ate Spring Break, and Other True Stories
Oh my Bob... the internets is back!
Ben tried to fix the sluggish nature of our internet, and why it sometimes didn't work wirelessly. He said our router was broken and that he would turn his extra PC into a router itself. Now wireless is dead and we can only use cables connected into our laptops.... but whatever. I'm just glad cuz I've had to use our neighbors five-minutes-to-load-a-page wireless for the past three days. It really hurt my online-ing.
Some spring break highlights:
The Sherwood/Mae/Relient K concert with Jeremy, Nate, and Nick. I got to talk to the bassist of Mae about religion. Jeremy and I cornered him over by the swag stand after their set. I asked him things like "what state of mind were you in while making Singularity compared to your state of mind while making The Everglow?" and he smiled and said "that's an interview question."
That's right it is, beyotch. And I loved it all. He said what they were listening to this time around and that they had time to make it at some house in Virginia Beach and I was like tellmemore tellmemore! Then I asked him if they thought of themselves more as religious, spiritual, or ethereal. "Ethereal, that's a good word... um well... etc." I was gladsome. Afterwards there was free stickers galore.
We passed that fire that the war protestors started at the Army Recruiting place by Jimmy Johns, but we had no idea what was going on. Luckily people like Peter and Casey were on top of things when we contacted them.
Tuesday's trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum with Adam, Jeremy, Casey, Cassi, and Mary needs to elaboration seeing how there are like 12 albums of it online, not counting my pictures.
Afterwards Adam and I tagged along with everyone else to Casey's house cuz there is a 15 stop by it. We bussed to meet Lindsey at Chili's by the stadium because he had a giftcard. As we were waiting Nate called me and wanted to have A Talk with me because he and Nick were talking the night before. He decided that he wanted to come to dinner with Adam and I. (I was going to italicize Adam, but I decided it wasn't necessary).
Adam, Lindsey, Bryn and I went to Club 5 where I danced with only one break and then was washed away in my own sweat. It was super fun.
Wednesday I did GD for 7 hours and then went over to Mike's to join him and Heidi. His roommate, also named mike, talked about his gay twin and then made us lattes (...I like that sentence, it amuses me). After like two hours I started getting dosey, but at least they gave me some advice/feedback on my project.
Thursday. Watched 3 episodes of Prison Break, The Return of the King (almost 4 hour extended edition), and 10 episodes of Buffy while sitting on the couch. Got some, but not a lot, of homework done. Spiraled into apathy and loathing at lack of productivity. But seeing how Kim hates my project I just feel no motivation because I don't know what to do. And so on.
So there, that was my four day spring break.
