So, living with Nova is working out well.  She's taking a strong sense of ownership in the house, which has inspired me to take action on the house.  In the past week or so, we've converted it from a storage shed with a bunch of misplaced junk into an actual home, complete with real door mats, etc.  I never imagined living with someone could be so ( Read more... )

My pitbull came extremely close to death this weekend.  She developed a Pyometra.  That is, a uterine infection.  I noticed some lethargy and increased thirst on Saturday, but nothing that screamed "emergency".  I planned on taking her to the vet Monday morning as a precautionary measure.  Sunday, she stopped eating.  Attributing it to what I ( Read more... )
