Occasionally I run across someone who hasn't a clue what Huy Fong’s Tuong Ot Sriracha is. You know, cock sauce... bright red chili paste with the rooster on the bottle.

I just read an article in the NY Times on it. Halloween costumes and tattoos based on this stuff. wow. I <3 the internet. ^_^

Since I got a *lot* of requests for this, here they are:

Guinness Ice Cream

Ingredients:

• 2 cans or 2 bottles of Guinness
• 1 egg
• 1 cup of sugar
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 cups cream

Fun fact for the night: You know your homemade mustard is hot when it fogs up your contact lenses.

I went with Alton Brown's procedure for attaining peak hotness, but lacking mustard powder, I milled my own from seeds which probably contributed to boosting its spicy characteristics.
