I got in on Friday, and I was going to do an entry - or two - THAT day, but the entire family seemed to all want to make sure I had gotten home alive and I haven't had a private moment all weekend. I JUST got around to unpacking and doing laundry today . . . after sleeping in. Thank God.

I realize I haven't been the most fun person since Chewy's demise. I don't apologize for it, but I do wish it were different. I'm feeling more myself today than yesterday. Day two since Chewy's death and I'm still alive. I somehow think this would all be easier if he had not died so violently. I keep seeing his little body thrashing around his cage and hearing my mom scream and wail, "OH CHEWY!!! NOOOO!!!"
