First,
Your World (Part One): What is your world made of? [girls] brought to you by
Quizilla Damn. I'm not sure about that.
Definitely NOT.
Because I'm actually Draco Malfoy made flesh. Don't swoon to hard. Apparently, I'm having a sordid affair with my archenemy, Harry Potter (aka the Landlord), as well as my mentor. But what they don't know, won't hurt them. Much.
You are a dark writer. A fierce and loyal follower
of Poe and the other gothic authors, you LOVE
to instill a sense of revulsion and somewhat
fear in your readers. You love to poke their
brains with logic dealing with the darker side
of the human mind and character. Truly
surprising and a true individual, you'll do
ANYTHING to create a scene. :)
What's YOUR Writing Style? brought to you by
Quizilla I'm not sure about this. These damn memes are gonna make me go schizo.
You Are a Seeker Soul
You are on a quest for knowledge and life challenges.
You love to be curious and ask a ton of questions.
Since you know so much, you make for an interesting conversationalist.
Mentally alert, you can outwit almost anyone (and have fun doing it!).
Very introspective, you can be silently critical of others.
And your quiet nature makes it difficult for people to get to know you.
You see yourself as a philosopher, and you take everything philosophically.
Your main talent is expressing and communicating ideas.
Souls you are most compatible with:
Hunter Soul and
Visionary Soul What Kind of Soul Are You? Eh? O.o; Me?
So, like, my period came on today >-< Which means my doctor's appointment isn't gonna happen Monday ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm really starting to think there's something TERRIBLY wrong that God just doesn't want me knowing about. Cuz, this is the FIFTH TIME I've had to cancel this friggin appointment (not counting the seven times I had to cancel before the initial appointment happened and the results came back "Unsatisfactory"). All of my aunts (and my mother!) have already had cervical cancer, so . . . we'll see. I'm not worried yet. By God, I WILL get that Pap done before the year is out!!!!!!!!
I'm home right now. It's good to be around my family members. And we have another witness to the fact that Matthew was not at the location the citation was given. Also, my dad talked to the assistant DA of our parish, and he said that if there was no ID given, the ranger should have brought the kid to the department to get a picture, and since Matt says he was NOT THERE, the case should be taken to the DA of that parish, not to court. But, see, this ranger wants to meet her quota so she keeps saying he HAS to go to court. Now, we're trying to get a name and phone number to that parish's DA, and talk to him/her.
As for me, school has been over for two whole days, and I couldn't be better. I'm sure I won't feel that way when I get my grades, but . . . for the moment I couldn't care less. I have too many other things on my mind. For instance, I have to get started on my thesis research (which I've been doing all morning), clean my car (FINALLY), clear out my book bags, find a place to stash my text books from this semester, and Christmas shop.
Speaking of Christmas, the older I get, the more cynical I become about this 'holiday.' I'm almost positive the early Christians never intended it to be a grand gift hunt. Next year, everyone's getting cards from me. As it is, that's all everyone's getting from me THIS year. I'm poor. They'll just have to deal with it.
Maybe I'll get the kids Play-Doh. I'm sure they're parents will just LOVE me for that *evil grin*
Anyway, I'm looking for archive stuff, and there's this really nice guide Tulane University set up listing all the archival stuff having to do with women in New Orleans. It has the location (which archive), how large the collection is, and a little blurb about what it contains. Awesome that. This is gonna save me a HELLUVA lot of time.
Time. I have only so much before all the Christmas wishes come due AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! THE PRESSURE ;-; But, never fear! I shall overcome! I shall!!!!!!!!!! <<<<<--------- (watched a program about the song "We Shall Overcome." Was not intentional reference).
And since I'm almost finished my masters, I've pretty much decided I'm going to enroll at Loyola University to earn my Religious Studies BA. My parents balked at first, but when I explained I'd do it one class at a time via correspondence while I WORK . . . well, they were accepting after that. Religion and I have a very vexed relationship, but the conflict just makes me more passionate about it. This is something I want for myself - not for my profession. And speaking of Loyola, there's an English professor there that - according to one of my classmates/colleagues - became an anime fan and decided to create a class about anime!!!!! I checked. It's there O.O See me salivate. I wonder if they'd let me take it as a correspondence course XD.
One day, I will finish EVERYTHING.
