Silky smooth and Seto Kaiba
Last night . . . I'm sorry, this morning was hell. I went to bed at around 4 am (after I realized that I did - indeed - have a class at 8 am >_<), didn't get to sleep till around 6 am. I hate that. How I can't seem to get to sleep until I've exhausted every method in the book. You'd think that as tired as I always am, I'd be able to drop off just like that *snaps fingers*
Anyway, got up and found a note from my roomie. She's so nice ^_^ The note told me she had left for the weekend and she wished me a nice break. Another thing - she's not into anime but her boyfriend is XD He was helping us get the internet feed into her room through my modem and saw my wallpaper, "Is that Seto Kaiba?" I daresay there was reverence in his voice. I was all smiles, "Yeeeesssss."
"You like anime?"
"Obsessed is a more correct term!"
"So am I!"
It was funny. If that doesn't beat all, I found out there's an anime club on campus! With over 200 members! I wanted to cry when I saw that meetings were held on Tuesday nights . . . when I'm in my Whiteness studies prosem *sobs*
Anyway, good news! Atlantis was probably right - I am too hard on myself. I got my outline for the Sphinx paper -- the outline I was so disappointed in. Dr. Stiebing said it was ok, that my bibliography was good >-< So I guess I was worried over nothing. If I held other people to the standards I hold myself to, I daresay I wouldn't be liked very much.
Things I must take care of this weekend (if I go back home - which is a questionable prospect considering I am VERY close to getting ahead in my readings and if I do, I want to focus on my research projects):
1. Give blood! I got the card saying it was ok for me to give like two months ago >-< I need to go give. I'm working on my 20th pint!
2. Hair trim - cuz I'm sick of my hair looking slightly dirty all the time due to the stark contrast between my natural color and the highlights that are growing out.
3. Eyebrow wax - ^_^ If it weren't slightly painful, I'd say it was fun to feel pampered.
Also, I got another compliment on my voice today O.O Some girl asked me if I would like to do ads on the radio cuz I have a "silky" voice. I was like, it only sounds that way now cuz I just woke up XD She seemed amused, but asked me to think about it. So that's two job offers I got today -- the other being a "Privateer Assistant," helping freshman with the on-line registration, grading, etc. for $8.00/hr. Thing is, it would be for the summer/fall/spring 2005 semesters which . . . I plan to be teaching by that time. So *shrugs* . . .
