Sleep was supposed to be the best meditation.
For Dimitri, sleep was filled with death. Every night, he closed his eyes and all of the innocents he killed came back to life in his nightmares, the memories gripping his subconscious and dragging him back to a place where his skin was cold and his eyes were red.
There was no Guardian mask to maintain control when he was whimpering and crying out in the night. Rarely did Dimitri wake himself, but the situation of a shared hotel room didn't stop him from drawing the notice of his partner.
