Dimitri was beyond embarrassed. Spending the first half of the day paying for things he and Rose had stolen during their time as children was both tiring and worrisome considering their current situation. Luckily their story about a rambunctious niece and nephew had been fairly well-received once cash was exchanged.
The weekend certainly hadn't helped Dimitri's desire to move on to another town in the least. Especially when he was having such a difficult time forgetting about the days following the last time he'd randomly been a child in Fandom. It didn't help that Rose had insisted on a piggyback ride as they returned to their hotel from the last shop. Dimitri had grumbled for a moment, but he remembered the promise and let her climb on his back.
"Don't you feel too old for this?" Dimitri checked, shifting her weight and getting a better hold under her knees.
