Speaking of OMG_Naruto_RP, totally look up the journals of Kisame and Itachi, both IC and OOC ( ic_itachi and ooc_itachi), the "interaction" of IC Itachi and OOC Itachi cracks me up, especially the time that IC Itachi discovers that OOC Itachi is pregnant and puts out a bottle of Akatsuki secret liquour as bounty. Unfortunately, there is no RPCANON between IC Itachi and IC Kisame, but awwww, Kisame takes care of Itachi when he's drinking himself stupid.
Dude, does anyone remember who and when was this first started, yeah, it could be several unconnected places, but to those that remember, link me the several! I know for some of the crack buddies I hang around, the Shark x Weasel thing was first used early 2004, or even late 2003, in parody of the Scarecrow x Dolphin always reference in the KakaIru fandom.
Note: I came across those links while going through my summer 2004 entries, old fandom fun! This post was originally meant for akatsuki_love, cause it has been kinda quiet over there through not quiet enough yet to warrant one of my attempts at doodling, and I actually posted there first before I deleted it before anyone saw it hopefully. What I love about akatsuki_love, other than the subject matter, is the members, it's wank free, and the contents are good. Yeah, there are some fics that are OMGOOC, but none that are eye-bleedingly bad, and the good definitely outweighs the bad. While the links above are super funny, with the exception of darthlainey it's crack that tilts on the side of sharky snark, especially OMG_Naruto_RP...highlighted by the tone of my post. Just decided that it doesn't fit the AL crowd very well at all and decided to keep the meaner side of snark out of there.
In spite of the subject matter, which is hot man sex, I have the impression that akatsuki_love mostly cater to teenage fandom newbies of the ^_^ variety as opposed to the Something Positive kinda >:( that are in their 20s. I actually don't want to risk hurting anyone's feelings in there especially now that I'm older. Before thomasvye ask "Why ff_anbu then?", the intention of that is funny snark not bitch/witchburning, AND it's not suppose to get back to the author, AND the mocked pieces are from FF.Net which is less personal. I'm also more forgiving of OOC fics when it's still somewhat IC, AND by someone who's more into art than fics and are really good at art, which covers quite a few of the AL crowd.
Dude, there totally should be a Naruto comm especially for the older fans who enjoy cynical humour and have aged to harden shells of former human beings that are immune to the meaner side of snark. Is there one already? Naruto_Fan_20+? Through maybe having a # in there is not a good idea because people get to cynical at different age, see Davan who was a total cynic by 5 years old, compared to Anna Morgan who wore fairy wings to her grad, through the last she appeared she picked up PeeJee and Aubrey's violent habits. I definitely ID with Davan (I think I made it by 8) but Anna is a character I'm also fond of.
