brother birthday
it's matt's birthday. hooray!
updates on the life:
been going to pilates and yoga on tuesdays, body sculpting on wednesdays, pilates an yoga on saturdays and yoga on sundays. trying to get into this elliptical machine thing. i try to do 15 minutes on it anytime i'm in the gym. i'm not a big fan. gotta get vicious for the wedding.
jay's birthday was two weeks ago. he got a broken nose. yay! it's definitely broken, but the surgery to fix it is elective and $2000. i'm hoping he'll get it broken the other way so it will straighten out. he's all manly about it and not bothered, but it pisses me off that someone hurt him. oh, and we lost a friend because of it. she was pissed that we didn't hang out with her after his practice (after jay told her he couldn't due to homework), but she's even more pissed that i didn't call her to tell her that his nose was broke and we still wouldn't be going out. lame. i got jay a cocktail carousel, the first season of the office and $300 off rent when he's in france. and $100 for bagpiping.
my boss and his wife had a baby last monday, so he was gone all week and the office exploded. my computer was busted, so i was already way behind, but then to have him out for a week really threw us off schedule. but the mom and baby are healthy and happy. he was a big'un. 9 lbs 6 oz. 20.5 inches long. yikes! i got to hold him on tuesday and he pooped on me. we're gonna be friends.
jay and i had a date night on friday, i had gotten him tickets to double bass, a concert featuring edgar meyer and chris thile (from nickel creek) for christmas and mom had given us an outback gift card for dogsitting. so we ate and listened to good music.
saturday i had breakfast with alan, amy and lily mueller! they came through savannah on their way to disney so we met them at cracker barrel. then i worked in the office (boo), worked out and had a girls night with andrea and the ladies of isso. we had a great time downtown (despite the weather) getting into trouble at club one (go micah!) and bar bar (um, craig...). it was nice to have girl time.
i went to the eye doctor this morning to get my checkup and i'm going to live, though my eyes were dilated for a while.
this week has been spent catching up. the circle k-ers and i are going to help out our kiwanis group with their pancake breakfast saturday morning, then we're having midterm late-night snack sales next week at the residence halls. so i'm keeping busy with that. still trying to get that raise!
tonight i'm going to the international student talent show, tomorrow i'm having an avon party, and hopefully sometime jay and i will get the opportunity to sit down and talk. we're going through a rough patch, but it's hard to work it out when we never see each other. i have faith that it's all going to be good, but damn it's frustrating right now! say a prayer!
busy next couple of weeks: laura's visiting next week, mom and grandma the next. then bachelorette party in JC and then ashten and stus's wedding! that takes us to march, when jay leaves for france! ahhh! i'm planning ahead for those two months, trying to arrange trips to see friends, graduations, etc. i'm almost positive i won't make it to lacoste (i'm not making that much money!) but i'm sending the camera with jay.
