What a disapointment

Well, I went to the Puyallup fair today. Supposed to be this big great fair everyone talks about.....
Man it was worthless. A few cheesy booth games(the typical shill stuff), A few rides(though some were rather interesting), the typical animal barns, but over 75% of the booths/tents/whatever were commercial in nature. I can't count how many hot tub vendors, window vendors, and other pointless vendors there were, but there were far to many.
Suffice to say it was a major dissapointment. Maybe it's that I'm not a kid anymore, and it doesn't hold the appeal a kid may have for it.
The one booth I realy liked though, is they had a real blacksmith there working. He was selling stuff, of course, but he was also working while we watched. His kiln was tiny! Had a little eletric motor for a blower, but I didn't ask what he was using within the kiln to get the heat. I'd love to learn how to do that! Hell, then I could start making swords and other interesting metal impliments! My only problem is the space to do it. You need a good 10x20 area to work in, and I certainly don't have that available right now, and probably not anytime in the near future sadly. Ah well, such is the way life rolls.

In other news, I go into the dentist today to get a few of my worst teeth fixed. Namely the one that went *crunch* the week before, and is making it very hard for me to eat. I know I'll be getting a root canal and cap on that tooth, and he mentioned doing 2 other teeth while in there. I'm not sure which two, since they are all in pretty bad shape. I'll make sure I know before he starts, so I won't be suprised. In about half an hour I take the valium he gave me, so I won't be having a heart attack from the stress and worry of going. :) I've only been to the dentist once before for any kind of major work, and that work fell apart after six months, so it leaves me a little worried going in like this. That, and the root canal. I've heard both good and bad stories. Guess I'll soon have my own to add to the pot.
