I was a bad boy today...
After my dentist appointment, and for which I'm feeling only tiny twingees of pain right now...I went and spent a buttload of money.
First, I went to wallyworld, to get my meds. Well.....I went ahead and got the 3 classic Star Wars movies they just released. Yay! Been waiting for the original(IE, unedited) versions on DVD for a while.
Well....then, I decided I wanted to go ahead and get my new monitor I've been wanting for a few months now. Sadly, my 21inch CRT was in a dying spiral, and not doing so well. So I bought A nice new 19inch LCD monitor.....WOW! I have desk space now! I don't know what to do with it all!
But, that wasn't all...I decided it would be a good time to change out my vidcard out as well. Right now, I have a Dual Xeon machine with a Quatro 4 900 in it. Near top of the line, but pretty much useless for actually playing games.(I might eventually get into 3d, but not anytime soon). So I replaced it with a decent Nvidea 7600 card. Not a bad price for it either. And with only a little drama and trouble, I got it installed. Though I'm getting a strange error that I'm still trying to track down. Waiting for it to happen again so I can write it down.(computer reboots on auto, only giving me a few seconds to try and get it).
And....Oy, lots of those today...I went ahead and bought a new 350gb HD to add to it. I'm still fighting the machine to get it to recognize, but hopefully I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong soon. (the system before only had a pair of scsi HD's, which is what it boots off of, and a IDE dvd drive.)
