Surefire!
I arrived at work this morning to see lines of fire trucks and ambulances streaming down the road. Houston had it's day of flaming infamy not long ago when an a business complex caught alight from arson, lives were lost.
The level of attention since that day showed through in the attendance of no less than three pump and four ladder units along with a mobile command station and four HFD supervisor vehicles. An impressive arsenal of firefighting goodness.
No, it's not my building that caught fire - though it is next door. The roof caught on fire from some freshly laid tar seeping into the insulation. Now we have the entire Building I cordoned off with helicopters circling.
I believe that it was a small affair, really, one that is already well in hand. From what a moonlighting paramedic friend of mine said, it was a two alarm fire. No doubt it will make news tonight, regardless.
All the world loves a fiery spectacle. I'm just glad no one was injured!
