I found another video of one of my concerts. Here, I am playing the accompaniment for my seniors' dizi duet.

I think this was one of the best performances of the entire concert.

And though it only lasted about 3 minutes, I was sweating and panting by the end of it. I am in awe of my seniors' lung stamina. 

I have been very busy, and luckily the source of my busy-ness is also making me very happy.

I have music in my life again! Well not the listening-music or piano/guitar-self-entertainment-type music, but satisfying chinese classical ensemble music where the scores are not all that hard but you still have to sweat to make sure you come in on time and ( Read more... )

Hi all!

I'll be leaving for Austria (Salzburg first, and then Vienna) in a few hours. I'll be back on the 21st. Hopefully the trip will help to take my mind off work and lure my muses back from wherever they're hiding!

I love cheap student tickets! I had one of the happiest evenings of my life yesterday evening. A whole three hours (well, almost) of Broadway show tunes from my favorite musicals, performed by a reputable orchestra, in a gloriously grand concert hall just 15 minutes away from my flat. I think the bliss will last me the rest of the week.

Yesterday, we had lab.

I was early, and so sat chatting with my lab partner for a bit. Then the professor walked in, and we were struck speechless by the sight of the professor wearing shorts under his lab coat.

It's not wrong, it's just... odd.

1700: Been out in the forest since 0800. Today I assisted R., who is doing a project on the habitat preferences of skinks, which are a sort of small lizard just about the same colour as the forest floor.
