And here we are, All Saints' Day. Or el Día de los Muertos. Choose your poison. For me, it is the first day of winter. Or, if you live in Alabama, the first day of the rainy season. Maybe I'm back.

Sunny today. So far, our high has been 85F, but I expect higher before sunset.

Sunny today, mostly. Our high was 80˚F. I slept too much again last night.

Sunny and warmer today. Our high was 70˚F.

And I had a pretty decent day. I spent the afternoon at McWane and finally got to meet my visitor from the Yale Peabody Museum, a gorgeous little mosasaur collected way back in 1875, but has sat largely neglected for 147 years. Much of my mosasaur work over the next year will focus on this one specimen. ( Read more... )
