Yesterday, I wrote 1,858 words on Chapter Three (3) of The Drowning Girl. As it stands, I'm 20,970 words into the manuscript, which means I'm probably somewhere between one third and one quarter of my way to THE END, if upon this book's completion it's going to look

I only ask because funnily enough, a friend and I recently did a reworking/cover of that song for fun (turning it into a sort of NOLA blues thing) so the lyrics have been stuck in my head.
Kind of popped out when I read that.

Yes, the Draenai area is the same. I'm equally disappointed that they didn't update those areas. I'm also seriously annoyed that they didn't change the Death Knight starting area either, from what I could tell. I'm thinking they might update them in the next major patch. Maybe that's more hope than anything, though.
The effect is that we have two timelines running concurrently.

I'm sorta baffled why people want to tack "Lovecraftian" to it. Well, I'm not really baffled. It has a squid, but really outside of that, there's really no relation.
Except for people worshiping an octopoid/tuethid god, and direct allusions to Cthulhu...
