Very, very cold here in Providence (25F, feels like 14F) with an overcast sky.

Agreed, Kraken is a very funny book.
That facet of it surprised me more than it probably should have. All the same, marvelous.

I'm sorta baffled why people want to tack "Lovecraftian" to it. Well, I'm not really baffled. It has a squid, but really outside of that, there's really no relation.
Except for people worshiping an octopoid/tuethid god, and direct allusions to Cthulhu...
