Nostly sun today, a welcome relief. No rain. Our high was 82F, with a heat index of 84F.
But. I woke at 3:30 a.m., not feeling well, and while I was trying to get back to sleep I started thinking about the next bit of "Dark-Adapted Eyes," what I meant to write next, and I saw it so clearly...and it kept me awake. I finally got up at six, but I was so tired from not having slept I wrote about a paragraph. So, that was stupid. Email with Steve Jones today about hyphens.
Really...crappy day.
This afternoon's film was Francis Lawrence's Catching Fire (2013). And I finished reading S.E. Hinton's That Was Then, This Is Now.
Okay, so...since unexpected expenses keep rising up to swack us in the face, the Rent Party continues. For the firts time we're offering copies of
the second edition of From Weird and Distant Shores (2022), cover by Bob Eggleton, and interior art by John Kenn Mortensen. Sold at at the publisher long, long ago. I'm letting go of four of my copies. Please have a look.
