Drip

Very little rain today, but not sun, either. Last night theer was torrential rain and a rather dramatic car wreck on our road, not far past where we live. It's a narrow, winding road, with a steep, long drop on its north side, and people have a tendency to drive too fast through here. Add rain. Our high today was 77F.

I was up early and writing by 6:15 a.m. I set aside "Untitled 48" and went back to work on "Dark Adapted Eyes" after having a sort of epiphany last night about how to finish it up. And though I did a little less than a thousand words this morning, I am surely no more than four or five thousand words from the end. I wrote Bill at SubPress with the news that he should have it soon, along with the corrected galley pages for Bright Dead Star.

So, all that is good.

I finished The Outsiders and began That Was Then, This Is Now. And tonight we finished Chapelwaite. It's very uneven, and it could easily have been four episodes shorter. But there's some cool stuff, too. It's not awful. It's pretty, and kinda fun, and all the Lovecraft didn't get washed out. Oh, and I watched three documentaries, one about Petra and two about the building of One World Trade Center.

I have some news from the shop. We've reduced the price of the copy of Frog Toes and Tentacles (Letter Y, with handmade black velvet and red satin book cozy) by $50. So, please have a look, o' ye collectors. I love this little book. It's one of the coolest things I've ever done.

And forgive the damn typos.

Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Beast
