"It's not a ghost. It's gravity."

Most of the day was cloudy, overcast, and it was much cooler after the violence of last night's storms. Our high was only 85˚F, with a heat index of 90˚F.

I was awake just a little after 5 a.m., the grey horror of dawn. My 6:30 a.m. I was at work on MP 1.3, and I finished the "Discussion" section, which mostly dealt with phylogenetics. And I finished the differential diagnosis.

After breakfast, I put together Sirenia Digest #97, and I'm hoping subscribers will have it before midnight, as soon as the PDF is done (I don't do that part) and Spooky sends them out. And then the issue, with the first third of the serialized Living a Boy's Adventure Tale, will go up for sale on the Big Cartel shop tomorrow. So, keep watching the skies.

A phone call just before I started this, and I can't go into specifics, but enormous relief and gratitude at great acts of kindness. There's hope, rather suddenly. I'll stop being cryptic about all this...eventually.

How weird is it, in this world, to even use the word hope?

The afternoon's film was Christopher Nolan's appropriately hopeful Interstellar (2014).
