"...his unfailing ability to kill the things he loves."

Cooler today. Our high was 91˚F, with a heat index of 99˚F.

After somehow sleeping until 8 a.m., I spent the rest of the morning and the early afternoon printing Bradbury Weather, an absolute behemoth of a manuscript. I am not looking forward to editing this fucker.

Oh, and I dealt with a bunch of backed up email. I was supposed to talk with Mike Polcyn this afternoon, but by the time that time came, I was too spent to think clearly, so the call was put off until tomorrow.

The afternoon's film was the director's cut of Peter Jackson's King Kong (2005). And going on seventeen years after it's release, the film really has aged very, very well. I still love the retro-dinosaurs of Skull Island, though I still say the huge theropod Vastatosaurus is not a tyrannosaurid, but a carcharodontosaurid. And last night, instead of moving along to Peaky Blinders, we decided to finish up with The Wire first, so we started Season Five.
