Another marvelously sunny day. Our high was 88˚F, though the forecast high was 91˚F.

I was up early and wrote another 1,206 words on "Living a Boy's Adventure Tale." And this afternoon I worked on the MP1. And Spooky says a set of signature sheets has just arrived, so I have to see what book those are for. Offhand, I cannot recall, but I do not think it's a Subterranean Press book.

I got an exceedingly odd question on Twitter yesterday. Someone asked me to name my favorite of "D. Trump's" policies, to which I replied that I assumed I was being trolled. This elicited a prompt apology, and a sort an explanation in which the author of the question and apology explained that I had sod something somewhere that led them to believe I was a Trump supporter. The whole exchange seems to have vanished from Twitter since yesterday, so I can not quite it precisely. But yes, I was both baffled and somewhat angered. I mean, how many words have I devoted to my loathing of this man (almost never referred to in the LJ as anything other than "the horror clown"), his followers, and the damage he has done to America? In this journal alone, surely many hundreds. So, the only way I can personally make sense of anyone believing I would be a supporter of the horror clown's is if it followed from that attitude that you're either a Far Left progressive or, you know, you're a Trump supporter. That politics in the US is exactly that black and white. Now, if you follow the blog, or follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you likely know that I am, in fact, a slightly left of center Democrat, and there's no way to get "Trump supporter" out of that, unless you really have drowned in the Bernie Sanders' electric acid Kool-Aid dogma. Anyway, the person involved was very polite in their apology, and they proceeded to say very kind things about my writing, so I'm not trying to cast shade or anything. It was alarming, that's all, and I worry it is yet another example of the polarization of American politics. Anyway, so there can be no doubt, for the record, I believe that Donald Trump is a profoundly evil and very likely deranged man who poses a threat to the entire world. I don't think I can be any more clear than that.

Last night we watched the first three episodes of Offer, a fictionalized account of how The Godfather went from Mario Puzo's book to Francis Ford Coppola's film. It isn't bad, and it's very watchable (and it has Juno Temple, always a plus). But it isn't great TV, and the casting is often very, very wonky. They really must have tried HARD to find someone who looked as little like Frank Sinatra as possible.

Anyway. Enough for now. I'll leave you with a wasps nests, which I have always found to be beautiful in their geometric alienness. Also, here's the link to the Big Cartel shop, and now there's only thirteen days remaining until the horror of my 58th birthday, so, shamelessly, here's my Amazon.com wishlist.

Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Beast
