A decent enough day. Sunny. But we only made it to 54˚F.
Tomorrow I have McWane. I was supposed to today, but...stuff happened, and finally it was so late I decided to just stay home and work on my revisons to the geology section of one of the three turtle papers. It was going well, until I bogged down (awful turtle pun) skimming Kaiyu Liu's "Sequence stratigraphy and orbital cyclostratigraphy of the Mooreville Chalk (Santonian-Campanian), northeastern Gulf of Mexico area, USA" (2007). Tomorrow, I'm taking the part of the paper I have not yet finished reading and going to McWane. I can finish reading it there.
Some crap I posted on Twitter:
I still get these folks telling me that correct punctuation (periods, especially) should be avoided in tweets, etc., because they're "aggressive" or "passive-aggressive." One person even told me it was classist! Me, I'll keep using correct punctuation, & social media be damned.
~ and ~
If someone in the future were to ask me to describe social media (yes, this is a science-fiction scenario), I would likely describe it as the most effective means of disseminating misinformation and fomenting hatred ever devised by the mind of man.
More 1883 tonight, and then the latest episode of Billions, and now I am going to bed. Good night, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are.
Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Bean
