Very, very tired. A sunny, chilly day. We made it to 58˚F.
I spent the day at McWane and began what is going to be a very long road, curating the museum's cataloged mosasaurs: identification, re-identification, designating specimens that need special conservation ("pyrite disease" is a big problem), and so forth. Making sure the mosasaurs aren't turtles. That actually happened today. I found a sea turtle pubis and ulnare labled "mosasaur." These things happen. But by the time I got home, I was tired Oh, and thanks to Jun for showing me the carcass of some very cool, deep-sea moray eel caught somewhere off Mobile Bay. But I have forgotten the species.
Tonight we started watching Yellowstone, and I like it, too. I leave you with a photo of a Tylosaurus tooth I collected when I was sixteen. And the handwriting on the label in Jada's.
