I woke up this morning and it was a chilly 14˚C in my room!!! WTF (it had been 21˚C up north only a few days ago). Fingers cold, emerging from under the covers to type on the keyboard... First snows

I had never seen the Ruapehu volcano with hardly any snow on it. It has been a very good long hot summer in NZ this year. Now Autumn is here, temps have fallen and last night brought the first snow of the new season to dust the skiing mountains.
