What a gorgeous weekend in every possible way, the company, the weather, the food, the foliage, the high concentration of dreaminess. And then after having a lovely day out today (following Friday and Saturday's lovely days in with folks visiting) I got home to realize that I had new SPN to watch too.

Ben Edlund, oh how I love you. You do right by the boys every damn time, please write more (or possibly all) episodes.

This was totally the perfect mix of funny and snarky and the boys being boys and moving the story forward and just, everything. It is so damn good to see Dean smile and laugh like that and his enthusiasm for the scratch tickets. And then Sam's poutiness at being cursed. So many great little bits, the post it note on Bella's alarm, Sam losing his shoe, "I'm Batman" and other such totally Dean lines, Kubrik's velvet Jesus poster, Bobby calling Dean an idjit, the soccer trophy and Dean's first sawed-off and the freaking lock up, man the shit that must be in there.

And then all those other things I can't even think of right now 'cause I'm in a state of post-ep watching bliss. I am quite enamored of S3 so far, I must say. Also, the boys continue to be even prettier with each new ep. I don't really know how that's possible, but it keeps happening.

I knew nothing about this week's ep before watching it and I know nothing about next week's but the title (nor do I know anything about the FNL I still haven't seen) and I'm really liking this way of watching things. No expectations and no speculation and everything a pleasant surprise.

So, Dumbledore really is gay. I knew it. I only glanced at the internet a couple times over the weekend but happened to be introducing some friends to the wonders of cat macros (as you do) and came across this. At the time I figured it was made by some fangirl with the same theory I had about how Dumbledore and Grindelwald were lovers. Little did I know that it was the TRUTH. This makes me very happy (and not just because it means I was right).

spn episode babble, harry potter, dumbledore and grindelwald, ...the universe and everything, supernatural
