A nice, quite weekend for two…one can hope…

Feb 01, 2005 18:35

No matter what I did or how hard I tried I always dreamt of my mother around the time of her death, I always replay it in my head and try to think of how or why or some way I could have changed it, made it better. Took her pain away.

And selfishly mine.

"Tara, baby, we're here."I heard a voice pull me out of my sleep and I smiled as I opened my ( Read more... )

"Don't apologize. I was perfectly happy watching you sleep out of the corner of my eye. Besides I think you needed the rest."

“It’s so beautiful out here. It’s a shame we are staying inside. It’s so beautiful, would be nice to camp out.”

I smiled. "It's possible that could be arranged."

I headed towards the trunk but Tara decided she was better suited to carry the suitcases towards the door of the cabin.

"Deal."

I chuckled at her sticking her toungue out at me and then when she realized she couldn't get in the Cabin without the Key.

I’m a dope. You have the keys…at least I hope you do.

I lifted the key in my hand showing it off to her but pulling it back when she moved closer to me. She wrapped her arms around my waist and I grinned down at her.

I’m having such a good time. Thank you.”

She leaned up and kissed me softly, then I think a gust of wind reminded her that we were at a ski resort and it was decently cold outside.

"No Tara. Thank you." I winked at her.

“Ok, c-cold here.”

I looked at him oddly when he said thank you, he didn't have anything to thank me for. He was the one taking me out to this amazing place for who knows how long.

I wrapped my arms tightly around myself and watched as he opened the door, picking the bags up I headed in slowly. "Lindsey..." I looked around and I think my jaw was on the floor, it was amazing. "It's so beautiful..." I turned and grinned at him. "You amaze me sometimes Mac."

I gave him a grin and then started looking around the place. I wondered where the bedrooms were and how far his was from mine.

I smiled at Tara's excitement but was noticing how much smaller the cabin was than it had been described ( ... )

This place was beautiful, I don't think I could have dreamed up anything more breathtaking. The view from the front window was enough for me to never leave.

I followed a few moments later up the stairs, furrowing my brow when I only saw one door. "Hmmm." Walking in I saw Lindsey sitting on the bed, looking not to pleased with something. "What's wrong?"

I looked around the room and it was like the rest of the cabin, I started to notice some things. There were things that you would only see in like a honeymoon sweet or a lovers hide away.

Feeling a knot in my throat I looked into the bathroom. "D-do the bedrooms connect this way?" Please say yes...please don't let this feeling in the pit of my stomach be true...

I hung up the phone and had to resist throwing it across the room. She's going to think it's another ploy. Goddamn the weather.

I headed back upstairs with dread building in my stomach.

I'd spent over and hour trying to find any way for us to get out of here, I was willing to Drive back to L.A. and worry about the expense later but the roads were closed. There was no way we could even drive back to the main resort.

It had been snowing lightly when we'd arrived and just after that the blizzard hit full force. I hadn't even noticed it, but looking outside there was at least 4 feet of snow on the ground.

I got to the door and knocked lightly before speaking.

"This isn't going to make you feel any better. The airport has cancelled all out going flights, the roads are closed. Huge blizzard they hadn't been expecting. Before you think I'm making it up to hold you against your will just turn on the TV, or call the resort's front desk."

I sighed.

"I'll be downstairs, not that you want to talk to me, but I'll be there."

Things got quiet and I slowly got up and walked over to the bed. I put on the TV to put some noise against the silence. Sighing I saw the weather, we were snowed in. I felt a moment of panic but then I realized that he didn't go beating down the door so maybe...

No, it was most likely another trick.

Then again I didn't know who to trust anymore.

I gave up the idea of heading home and decided to take bath, the glimpse of the tub I had before left me slightly awestruck. I wanted and needed to have the distraction.

The tub was huge, big enough for two...but I wasn't going to think about that. I was going to think about warm water against my skin and relaxing with bubbles. I got out a bit later, feeling a bit better. I got dressed and brushed out my wet hair when I heard a knock on the door.

I was sitting in the living room watching the weather report for any indication that we'd be able to get out of here anytime soon. I didn't want to leave and let this weekend go to waste but I didn't want to make things worse either ( ... )

I sat in the bedroom for a long while, just thinking, my head filled with every thought imaginable. At some point I realized that Lindsey's like nobody I've met, nobody. He didn't have intentions on hurting me or anything like that. He had plenty of chances before.

I think what scared me the most is that I realized that I'm falling for him. Hard.

"I just wanted to say thank you for the pop, and the sandwiches."I smiled slightly and got up, leaning against the door and wanting to open it but I just couldn't. I sighed and stood there until I heard a methodic sound. His guitar ( ... )

"I do. I mean I want too you know...and so much...but I've...and you've...I've only been with two people and ummm... Well...different equipment and...stuff..."

I just smiled down at her.

"Don't be embarrassed. It's ok, I'd never force you or assume anything you ... If something happens then it happens, cause God knows I want you ..."

She was so beautiful.

"I love you, and I like saying it. When ever you are ready."

"I love you, and I like saying it. When ever you are ready."

I smiled and looked up at him. "Good, I like saying it too." I leaned up and kissed him, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck, pulling him closer to me. "I love you."

I moved closer to him and I lost my footing, landing us both on the couch. "Oops." I giggled. "Now, why don't you show me this place the right way. Maybe we'll end up in the hot tub.." I wiggled my eyebrows at him and smirked before I leaned down and kissed him deeply, running my hands in his hair.

Just being with him, in the same room, was so much. I had a feeling that things would happen before the weekend was out. I wanted it, and he wanted it.

I chuckled and got up and pulled her up in front of me. I gave her a quick kiss and took her hand. I was so thankful she'd listened to reason. And thankful Lilah was as stupid as she was mean. Stupid bitch.

I led her down the stairs into the hottub room. It was lavishly decorated. And warm, very warm.

The place was indeed amazing, down to every last detail. We finally ended up by the hot tub and I gave his hand a squeeze and kissed his cheek. "I'll be back, I'm going to get into my bathing suit..." I kissed him again and hurried up the stairs.

Up in the room I went through my bag and finally picked out the bathing suit I had. It was a two piece and I wasn't sure if I was comfortable in it, but I was comfortable with Lindsey so that's all that matters. Putting it on I pulled my hair down and brushed it out quickly before heading back down stairs wrapped tightly in a towel.
