Hello. I'm working on a 'Creative Services' company business plan and could use some help.
I'm trying to figure out the financial parts and I've consulted the
Graphic Artist's Guild guidelines for the pricing but it would be helpful if people working in the field could give me some input on how much work can realistically get done in a month, and roughly what percentage of the work is web vs print etc. so I can do the math.
- About how many clients/projects per month can one designer handle?
.. or How many people are in your office and how many projects do they collectively finish in a month? (approx.)
- What's the average time it takes for you to complete...
- a web design?
- A print design?
- A visual identity?
- Flash movie/other animation video?
What percentage of your work is...
-print?
-web?
-animation/videos?
- Visual identity?
- Other(?)
Obviously projects vary but an average estimate would help out a lot!
(If it matters, the creative services company I'm inventing for this plan would specialize in working for non-profit, political, and social organizations and social entrepreneurship ventures that work for environmental, social justice, humane, civil liberty or educational causes)
Don't worry if your numbers aren't exact. You won't bankrupt me. This is for a paper I'm writing, not a plan I intend to actually put into practice but I would like to be able to make it reasonably realistic.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
