Im working on a website for a new client.
i found a graphic design agreement after the horrible problems of the guy who sent me checks that bounced. So i used it on my second client who never had a problem. Now I have a 3rd client she phones me yesterday tells me she has no problem with the agreement EXCEPT
10.6 RIght to Assign.
Customer has no right to assign, sell modify or otherwise alter the project, except on the express written advance approval of the designers, which consent can be with held for any reason.
She says she may want to sell the business in the future which the website would be sold to ( all just possibilities)
my thoughts are I don't think i have a problem if she sells her business and wants to sell the website.
because Im new i don't know if this is common.
I was wondering more about this RIGHT TO ASSIGN statement if anyone has thoughts what i should say. or things I need to know more in depth what this means.
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
