He stands by the shore, watching the boats, bringing the heroes of the battle home.
He has had many fantasies.
He hoped for his father’s love.
He dreamt that Lily loved him not Potter.
As a man of thirty-eight he dreamt the war against the Dark Lord would soon be over.
Now, he waits.
He knows she will come.
For like him, she is a hero.
She fought for what she believed in.
When Hermione joins Severus he will get his undisclosed desire.
Despite their deaths, he will have his happy ever after.
So he watches and waits for her.
