Authors Notes: Um... this popped up somehow and I posted before I could overthink it. I tend to do that.
The door closed with a resounding slam, and Severus was left contemplating the dying embers in the fireplace.
She would come back after she cooled off. She would come in quietly and place her hand on his shoulder. They would go to bed and everything would be all right again.
He shook his head and dismissed the fantasy as futile. This time she wouldn’t let it pass without an apology; maybe it was high time he learned how to do that. He stood up and gripped his wand; if he knew his wife well, she’d hex first and listen later.
