“What’s taking so long?” Severus watched his wife pace in circles. “He couldn’t really be that sick, could he?”
“It’s only a fever, Hermione. I doubt it’s fatal.”
She shot him an evil glare. “You say that so casually.”
“Give the Healer time. I daresay you’ve overreacted, and he’ll be fine tomorrow.”
“Can you hear yourself?” Hermione demanded, hands balling into fists. “Can you? Do you even care?”
He shrugged slightly. “Certainly not as much as you seem to.”
“You bastard…”
“Now, Hermione, I’m quite certain that evil-tempered Kneazle-beast will live to torment the children for many years to come.”
