The first thing I thought of was the shrieking shack, but I don't like that combined with Hermione normally. (won't say never) The next thing I thought of was Snape's stained reputation and what that would mean for a relationship with Hermione. I see him as beaten down by hostility, his pride marred by the vicious gossip of others and Hermione holding strong and leaving WITH him. Always
