I had one of those "oh snap" moments just now, when I checked the homework status for CS. Now, I personally find Data Structures to be a rather easy course, but the work for it is rather time consuming. All this usually means is that the course is a minor inconvenience. Now, what is problematic is when it complicates my other courses. Usually this is not a real concern. But with something of a midterm tomorrow in physics (my last, hurray!) and a lot of reading I know I will be quizzed on for history in Tuesdays, it does complicate things when I suddenly realize I have a CS project due tomorrow, and a homework assignment due on Tuesday.
Now, let me give a bit of background. Usually CS projects are due on Tuesdays or Thursdays, when we have the class. Last week, however, we had the midterm in the class, so she decided to extend the project that was originally due that Thursday. I assumed she extended it to this Tuesday, so I haven't worked on it yet, but Robert informed me a few hours ago it was due tomorrow (and our professor can do that because projects are submitted electronically). That would still be fine, but she (our professor) also has a homework assignment due Tuesday, and since I didn't think she'd ask for us to have a homework due the same day as a project (she doesn't do that), I didn't worry about CS at all. I just checked the due date of the homework, however, and it is due tomorrow. Now I realize I have both the project due tomorrow and the homework due on Tuesday. "Oh snap!" Well, there goes my freetime for tomorrow and tonight. This is all really self-inflicted, since I can't blame her for me not being aware of the due dates, but sheesh, my entire outlook for the next few days just shifted dramatically over the past few hours.
Ok then, I'm gonna get working.
