Epithets are annoying when used in excess. In fact, ninety-nine percent of the time they're a complete eyesore to encounter in any sort of story. When you see the words the green haired man or the swordsman used in place of the name Zoro twenty-one times in a single chapter, it's just wrong.

Oh so terribly wrong.
