Wednesday Words

Jul 15, 2020 08:17

I'm back, baby! Pretty pleased with my word count this past week, even if a lot of those words weren't on the fic I most wanted them on. But some of them were, and all of the words were for upcoming deadlines or potential deadlines, so I'd have to get them down eventually! I went where my muse took me, which has been an unexpected plus to having so many potential projects at once. I've always been the type to focus on one thing at a time, but I've generally been quite productive the past few months when I've had a couple of options to choose from. There tends to always be at least something that is calling to me, even if it's not the highest priority item.

Weekly Word Count (7/8 - 7/14) = 6,962

What I Worked On:

  • harrypotter_birthdayparty: wrote first draft.

  • daily_deviant July: went through final edits, and posted! You can read it here.

  • hd_hurtfest: wrote 1 scene and signed up for the fest!

  • Potential
hd_fan_fair: I have a partially written plot-bunny that fits one of the available prompts, so I dusted it off and did some editing! Not sure yet if I'll claim, since I have hurtfest to finish, but I'm hoping to make it work.
  •
  • July/August
    hpfemslash-minifest: finished first draft.

Next Week's Goals

  • harrypotter_birthdayparty: go through initial edits and find beta.

  • hd_hurtfest: write 1 scene.

  • hp_crossgenfest: go through beta edits and submit!

  • Potential
hd_fan_fair: I'd love to write at least one scene to see if I still have the feels for this one.
  •
  • July/August
hpfemslash-minifest: go through initial edits. This is the lowest priority, and I already have a bunch  of editing to do, so I'll only plan on tackling this one if I have some time where I know I won't be able to get fresh words but still want to be productive.

  • daily_deviant August-October: themes just went up, so I'd like to at the very least choose the themes/outline my August fic, and possibly get thinking about September & October.
