Let me start by saying that this fic is very different from what I normally rec, and rape/dealing with the aftermath of rape is the primary story arc, so it is definitely not for everybody. The Sterek in this fic is a very slow build and there is no actual sex between them, the M rating comes from a few flashbacks to the rape and when Stiles describes what happened to him. I honestly did not expect to like this fic, but it really is very well written. This fic takes place during season 2 and 3A, with the non-con happening off-screen before the start of season one. It takes an extremely difficult and emotional issue, and really delves into what happens after the fact. How Stiles deals with it, his friends and family's reactions/support/lack of support, etc. Please read the warnings and be warned, some people is this fic (mostly OC's) are serious assholes about what happened to Stiles, and Jackson is not a good-guy at all in the fic. But if these things don't trigger you, it really is a very powerful fic about what a rape victim goes through and how the effects can be seen in so many aspects of their life.

This was a lovely fic. Slow-build of Stiles and Derek becoming friends over the summer and then evolving into something more. I like that it was a bit different. Scott doesn't factor a ton into the story, but less because he is a bad friend, and more because he goes away to get some time to himself. And Derek still has his issues, but it doesn't cripple him like so many of these kinds of fics. Hot and refreshing.

So this is going in the canon section because it is canon compliant, but a lot of the fic isn't...it makes sense when you read it. But I loved how you get the best of an AU and a canon-based fic. I thought the Druid dream and the fighting kingdoms was so interesting and surprisingly easy to follow. The Allison/Derek friendship was wonderful and I adored the Allydia hints. Not to mention the fabulous relationship between Derek and Stiles and the unbelievably hot sex! Such a brilliant read.

Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.
He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.
And then he leaves.
Oh gosh, this fic was just AMAZING! Honestly, it was pretty much everything I want from a post-season 3 fic, and Derek's voice here was so spot on. I loved the gradual build between Derek and Stiles and the characterizations and interactions between all of the characters were perfect. Honestly, just a fantastic and super satisfying read.

I'm not the biggest fan of fics that jump ahead into the future, and I was worried that there would be too much angstiness here, but there really isn't it's a lovely read. The characterizations are spot-on and I loved the blending of the Hollywood elements with canon!verse. The connection between Stiles and Derek is fantastic and the sex was mega-hot!

Derek had stood in front of the bathroom mirror for a few minutes trying to control the panic as he saw himself as Stiles. As the loud mouthed human friend of the pack. He was going to kill Peter. He was going to kill the witch, then he was going to kill Peter. Maybe even resurrect him again just to kill him all over.
They were going to have to play this cool. They would have to stay calm and focused. Which is of course why the universe threw him into this situation with someone who physically couldn't be calm and focused.
Of course.
So much love for this fic. It's the bodyswap trope but basically the best one I have ever read. The characterizations here for all the characters are so spot on and you just feel everything. It's beautiful and truly worth the long read.

Let me start by saying that this fic is very different from what I normally rec, and rape/dealing with the aftermath of rape is the primary story arc, so it is definitely not for everybody. The Sterek in this fic is a very slow build and there is no actual sex between them, the M rating comes from a few flashbacks to the rape and when Stiles describes what happened to him. I honestly did not expect to like this fic, but it really is very well written. This fic takes place during season 2 and 3A, with the non-con happening off-screen before the start of season one. It takes an extremely difficult and emotional issue, and really delves into what happens after the fact. How Stiles deals with it, his friends and family's reactions/support/lack of support, etc. Please read the warnings and be warned, some people is this fic (mostly OC's) are serious assholes about what happened to Stiles, and Jackson is not a good-guy at all in the fic. But if these things don't trigger you, it really is a very powerful fic about what a rape victim goes through and how the effects can be seen in so many aspects of their life.

And Derek still has his issues, but it doesn't cripple him like so many of these kinds of fics. Hot and refreshing.

Not to mention the fabulous relationship between Derek and Stiles and the unbelievably hot sex! Such a brilliant read.

I know I recommend a lot of the fake/pretend relationship trope fics, but they work so well for this pairing! This one was great with fantastic appearances from all our favorite characters and a interesting plot.

Such a good read and a fun new take on MPREG, with Derek wishing for a family and somehow managing to get pregnant in the process. Loved the characterizations here, and the pack cameos were great. Plenty of hot sex and misunderstandings here, and the whole thing was a really enjoyable read.

Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.
He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.
And then he leaves.
Oh gosh, this fic was just AMAZING! Honestly, it was pretty much everything I want from a post-season 3 fic, and Derek's voice here was so spot on. I loved the gradual build between Derek and Stiles and the characterizations and interactions between all of the characters were perfect. Honestly, just a fantastic and super satisfying read.

I'm not the biggest fan of fics that jump ahead into the future, and I was worried that there would be too much angstiness here, but there really isn't it's a lovely read. The characterizations are spot-on and I loved the blending of the Hollywood elements with canon!verse. The connection between Stiles and Derek is fantastic and the sex was mega-hot!

Derek had stood in front of the bathroom mirror for a few minutes trying to control the panic as he saw himself as Stiles. As the loud mouthed human friend of the pack. He was going to kill Peter. He was going to kill the witch, then he was going to kill Peter. Maybe even resurrect him again just to kill him all over.
They were going to have to play this cool. They would have to stay calm and focused. Which is of course why the universe threw him into this situation with someone who physically couldn't be calm and focused.
Of course.
So much love for this fic. It's the bodyswap trope but basically the best one I have ever read. The characterizations here for all the characters are so spot on and you just feel everything. It's beautiful and truly worth the long read.

Really fantastic post season 4 fix-it fic that incorporates some characters of later seasons. I loved Stiles and Derek here, and the way their relationship evolved was just fantastic.
