Kiln People by David Brin (458 pgs). It's a hard sci-fi book with a little pulp detective feel. In the future, people can make clay duplicates of themselves to either take care of grueling tasks (like going to work) or to live out extremely dangerous fantasies (no holds barred gladiatorial fighting), then at the end of the day your "dittos" come ( Read more... )
