Dan wonders how he got to this place. “This place” being inside Blair Waldorf, repeatedly, in his Yale dorm room.
The Noah Shapiro on his shoulder tells him to pry for answers. Did she always like reading Chuck Palahniuk? Was she using him for revenge against someone? Why the fuck was he getting hard again?
“I need to go,” she says. She puts on her still-rain-spattered clothes quickly, to show she can’t be convinced to stay. “I’m sorry we… this happened.”
Of course. Dan almost nods to himself. He can’t think of why she wouldn’t be. Or why he isn’t.
