MERRY XMAS 2011!
Wh has been complaining that I haven't updated for eons so here's an attempt to at least clear some of the backlog before the year 2011 ends!
Christmas! Sometimes I feel guilty for enjoying it because it's completely a commercial affair for us non-christians haha. But it's still awesome because we have an additional reason to gather with loved ones =]
C15 had our annual Christmas party and it's our 3rd year celebrating it together! Sans the 3 poor army boys and zhang tho =[ This year some of us remembered to put on our xmas hats haha
Potluck dinner! As usual, we had leftovers but it was significantly lesser than the previous years. Think we're FINALLY getting the hang of how much to bring/cook haha. And that's qh fighting jetlag haha. so glad that she's back!! =]

Created so much noise with our laughter, screams and singing that mummy sent a msg asking us to be more quiet haha. I miss our combined craziness!! None of the tiredness from school, all of the madness from freedom haha
SOT christmas lunch @ the new Food For Thought (Botanic Gardens)! The food and the presentation was absolutely perfect, the interior design as funky as ever and everyone was dressed in green and red =] Felt so festive!
Gift exchange! 2 of the staff were like santa's elves lugging humongous bags containing the presents and there was a prize-giving event too lol. The emcee was Ms Eu!
Need to check out FFT @ Botanic Gardens again soon and try their new menu!

Cake baked by Aretha!! Looks so professional! Had a gift exchange and terena was accused of rigging the system hahaha shan't explain why but it was quite funny
T.I. Warriors Xmas! Decided on the day itself that we would have a picnic at ECP and Ms Leong had great foresight when she told us to buy a tent lol. We ended up having the picnic inside while the rain poured but thankfully it didn't last very long!
Fruit salad prepared by wh and I =D Oh and that was wh's personal, and random concoction meant to serve as an alternative to the salad dressing (which we forgot to buy haha). Unfortunately, or fortunately, we didn't get to try it cos we accidentally spilled it lol
And this is Ms Leong's magic at work! Hahaha damn good job at creating such a sumptuous looking main dish!

Wh the unlucky boy had duty on christmas, so we had dinner @ Robert Timms the day after! Honestly think it was the best pasta I've ever eaten. Usually I'll finish the meat instead of the pasta but that day it was the complete opposite.
<3 Generally we have managed to keep to our rule for gift exchange on christmas - presents must be handmade! Thought it was a good way to minimize the commercialization of the holiday. I am running out of ideas though haha. Hope I can find inspiration every year!
Spent xmas day with family and treated them to a movie at the new katong mall! Still not used to calling it I12 because the advertisements of 'I12 = I WANT TO' feels damn corny to me lol. Anyway, watched 'We Bought A Zoo'! Pretty heartwarming and a good movie to watch with family!
Though I didn't get to meet all my favourite people this christmas (holidays need to be longer!!), it has been a splendid christmas filled with love and laughter =] Am thankful for the people around me, for the opportunity to love and be loved and so much more! Not just during xmas but every moment I have =]
Cheers to the end of a fantastic 2011 and to the start of an even better 2012!
