November / December Adventures

Jan 06, 2012 17:18

Ok this is a very hefty post!! Too many pictures lol but all necessary and important to look back on =] Attempted to somehow categorize the pictures because there are too many things going on here and my best efforts are - Adventures in Katong and Adventures Elsewhere haha. No creative juices right now, may be a good thing I'm taking Creative Thinking this semester huh?

So here goes - ADVENTURES IN KATONG! Loving this area more and more, what with all the recent developments =] Will give a virtual tour right now! And will also make a conscious effort to provide links to the good food places haha

This was really long ago in November? Checked out Saveur with TH and Jess because I read about it in the papers. If I'm not wrong, it is owned by a former restaurant chef who wanted to expose Singaporeans to more affordable French food. My duck confit ($8.95) and TH's angel-hair pasta! Pretty awesome, especially the pasta, and extremely affordable.

Went to Parkway for dessert and to shop for TH's niece and nephew. Both of them started volunteering to provide clothes / sweets and cakes for my future kids when we were in the kids' section. Thanks guys, will keep in mind hahaa

Chia came back for her winter break and it was so good to see her again!! We went to the  Ice-cream Gallery (katong branch) to do some catching up =] Pretty much had the place to ourselves cos it was a weekday.

Caught up with Si Hui who is holidaying in London right now, the lucky girl! And yes we celebrated christmas superficially hahaha. Just so happened i had xmas hats beside me and si hui has some white furry shawl lol. Can't wait to see her (for real) this year!!!

Walked to katong mall (again) to have dinner, tried Kuroya which was not bad according to CZM. Best part was when we went to the roof top!! Didn't know there is water play ground!! Want to bring leiya & zejun there to play one day =D

And guess who moved in to Katong recently? Mr Tong! Went over to pass him a present and played with Ruixin hehe. She has such round o.o eyes! And she loves to bite iphones lol. Expensive taste!

Adventures.. Elsewhere? Haha

Anting and my first time at Ah Loy Thai! Tom yum soup was toooo spicy for us, but still fantastic! We both concluded that it would be better to bring more people next time so that we can share the dishes as it's more zi-char style

Vball @ DHS with best teammates =] Not everyone could make it unfortunately, but it was still a great feeling to be able to play together. Don't know when would be the next time but hopefully soon!

Mich's hammies are still alive (and extremely obese!), in case anyone is wondering hahaha.Had a sleepover and we're getting old!! Conked out before 12am lol

Javier's Rotissere with Fanghua, Woosie and YD! $8.90 salad buffet and if you think this was a lot, you should have seen the others!! I think they confused the buffet with some 'build-the-highest-food-tower' competition lol. Caught Mission Impossible with them and it was better than expected. Maybe cos I had zero expectations in the first place. Woosie and I kept wringing our hands / cringing throughout the movie haha

SMU Muay Thai Chalet! Rare time that we see each other not exhausted / dying from training so it was a pretty good bonding session =]

Logos Hope - the bookstore on a ship that came by Vivocity last month! Wh's bro told us about it so we decided to pop by, pretty interesting but book selections are quite limited. We ought 3 books anyway but have yet to start on it =/

School's about to start and we won't have the luxury of time, so I'm very thankful for the november and december break! Has been very fulfilling to be able to catch up with friends =]
