I was sick and tired all day. My neck and back hurt because I had to sleep propped up with pillows so I could breathe. However, the homeopathic remedy I took today seems to be working. Now I'm just tired.

I almost finished taking a practice JLPT test today. I have one listening section that I didn't do. What was moderately difficult in high school is really easy now, and makes me think I should take a higher level in December. Next week (Thursday, Marah, Rebes?) I want to go visit Rees and Sensei, so I'll talk to her about it. And steal some more practice tests from her.

I also spent some time studying Norwegian today. Our textbook, while fairly crummy, has a REALLY good listening CD. My gosh! If we had this for Japanese, we wouldn't have needed a teacher. I'm fairly in love with it. Other than the CD, our textbook is generally worthless. It's entirely in Norwegian, which wouldn't be so bad if it even bothered to explain things. Instead, each chapter (which is 3 pages) has two sentence forms that we learn. The first, "Hva heter du? (Who are you?/What is your name?)," is responded "Jeg heter Katherine (I am Katherine)". The second, "Hvor er du fra? (Where are you from?)" is responded with, "Jeg er fra USA (I am from the USA)." Pronounciation is the most difficult but we've got that awesome CD...

Because it doesn't explain anything, I've got a zillion questions to e-mail Oddbjorg...
